To the Administrators:

I really like the Recent Discussions sidebar. Can I customize Recent Discussions so that clicking the topic title opens the last post in the thread, rather than the first? I like to keep up on the new posts to threads I've already read.

That's interesting. The way Airforums works for me is that clicking on a topic in the Recent Discussions sidebar takes me to the first unread post in that thread. As far as I can recall it has done that ever since the Recent Discussions feature was added--I didn't set anything to get it that way.

It probably won't work that way if you don't have cookies enabled for Airforums.

Of course, if you haven't previously visited a thread, it will take you to the first post.

Thanks Nuvite. You are correct. When I'm logged in clicking on the Recent Discussions topic takes me to the first unread post.

Usually I'm not logged in and clicking on the topic takes me to the first post.

As noted you will need to login. Also worth noting... once logged in, you can determine the threads you have already viewed that have no new posts as they will not be bolded.

There are some options in your user settings to view threads newest post, first) but again you would need to login to take advantage of custom settings.

One final reason to login (besides hanging out with the cool kids) is that we show you fewer ads. Clicking the 'remember me' option when you login next time should simplify things

Janet, thanks for responding to my post. I wasn't paying attention to if I was logged in or not, and had the incorrect impression that the Discussion Topic sidebar always took me to the first post.

My thanks to you and Nuvite for clearing the fog for me.
