Difficulty posting

Hello

I've been trying to post a new thread under the general interrior restauration forum...but when I click the final button to "submit new thread" there is a long pause then a "page not available" message.

If I go back and try top re-submit the thread I get the message that this is a duplicate thread to one that has been submitted in the last five minutes...but the thread never shows up.

Is there something wrong on my side, or is this a known issue that is being worked on?

Thanks,
Adam

It's a known issue, and it happens at other forums too, in my experience. 99 times out of 100, posts and topics post just fine.

I don't follow my own advice, but you may want to copy/paste what you've written to another document (Word, TextEdit, anything) before you hit the Submit button, so if your post gets vapporized, you can copy/paste it right back and try again (after 5 minutes).

I, of course, never think to do this until my words of wit and wisdom vaporize into cyberspace.

Thanks. I thought it might be something I was doing wrong.

I picked up on needing to save a copy the second time through.

I must be missing something somewhere. My question is where is the new thread button? I have looked all over and do not see it anywhere.
Thanks for any help. Bob

Up near the top of the home page, you will see, below "The Airstream Knowledge Sharing Forums" and the tabs with the portal, forums, etc, you will find a tree which shows where you are.
You go to the area you want to post in, and you will find a "new thread" button. Click it, type your message, add a subject, and click the "submit new thread" button. If the forum gods are smiling, you will have started a new thread. If not, well, that is when you learn why you should copy and save your post before submitting it.
