Colonial Pop Up Ad

How do I get rid of the Colonial pop up ad?

The policies of the Forum prevent me form real expressing my view point but just let it be said I have no interest in doing business with them and thus find the pop up offensive.

I am using Fire Fox if that effect the answer.

I get Nissan, Progressive and several credit cards. Don't need or want any of them.

Offensive?
Really?
Wow...
I dislike all ads but offensive?

For what it's worth, I view this forum on an iPad in Safari. I have Distilled installed so no pop up ads at all.

I guess I shouldn't be snide about the ad thing. When Facebook began adding ads, I used to report them as sexually explicit so they would stop. It worked for awhile...

I also use NoScript - but it takes some learning to become proficient with it. NoScript has nothing to do with ads, but rather, it stops scripts from running ... scripts which could be malicious... I don't trust all of the third-party stuff ... and I generally never allow double-click to run, but sometimes I'm lazy and just say "Temporarily Allow All"

Good luck ...

Firefox has many features built in that many aren't aware of it. To block pop-ups select preferences, under the Firefox pulldown menu, and click on the Content tab then select Block pop-up windows.

Firefox's new-ish Private Browsing mode helps control things too, as mentioned in another thread maybe the Captcha one?
