I'm wondering if I'm not alone in having to scroll down the page a few frames past the adds on left and blank space to see the first entry of a thread. I'm guessing maybe this scenario has been discussed in another thread that I missed (I've been busy). It makes viewing many days worth of missed threads a longer event . . . Just curious. - Roy
Not here using Mac OS 10.3.8 (all side updates too) on Safari. I tried with the same setup using IE 5.2 and it does have a large gap from the top to the first post. You know, the strange thing was that IE use to be old reliable. What I mean by that is that when Safari didn't work, IE would. What I am finding now, is since IE is so old (it was discontinued several years ago for Mac) it too is having similar oddities as Safari has from time to time.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my normal browser, but I just checked Netscape, Firefox, Mozilla, and IE (SP2) and none of them have the described problem whether I have the favorites/bookmarks displayed or not.
Becaus I an Webmaster for the Region 9 site, I have all of the above browsers available so that I can preview my page changes before uploading.

I use Internet Explorer on a Mac G4 running OSX 10.28 (16 1/2 " screen)...Though not new, certainly not antiquated stuff.
See if Safari does it too. If not, you're in good company...if it does, do the updates if you haven't already.

Apparently Internet Explorer (ver 5.2) is the culprit. All is well with Netscape and Safari. For some reason I'm not able to access the Internet Explorer 5.2.3 download. I'll try something different later. Thanks everyone. - Roy
Well I now have IE 5.2.3, and the issue still remains. I guess it's time to switch browsers. Now if I could only figure out how to export my IE website favorites . . .
I had the same problem on mine. I have a 17" monitor and had the resolution set for 1024 X 768 and with the favorites displayed on the left, the threads would have to be scrolled.
I changed the resolution to 1290 X 720 and the problem is fixed.
My IE is 6.0 SP2 XP
