Attaching pic from IPhone or iPad.

Is there a trick to posting pics from an iPhone or iPad? Every time I do, it places it upside down or sideways.

There is no rhyme or reason that I can tell. Sometimes I post and they are sideways or upside down. Then I delete them and repost the next day and they are right side up. I don't know why. Some other AirForums members were posting and making fun of posters that can't post there pics correctly. It mad me mad since I can't figure out how to post them consistently right side up.

I-phone and I-pad pictures are too large. Use one of the free image resizers online and reduce size to fit the forum requirements. I went through the same thing.

Yes.

Use the edit function in Photos to reduce their size a bit, and they should post correctly with no problem.

To ensure your pictures post correctly, first be cognizant of how you take the pictures.
There are really only 2 ways to take a picture with an iPhone.
1. Portrait: phone straight up and down- camera at the top- home button at the bottom
2. Landscape: phone horizontal with volume buttons down- home button on right side
It's those landscape pictures with the phone the other way that get you.
Portrait with the phone straight up and down seems to be absolutely foolproof, even for video.

I can't explain this concisely, but it has to do with EXIF data snd the way it is received on other platforms. The solution, I learned on another forum, is to take your photos in landscape mode with controls on right snd volume buttons on bottom. Then you can rotate and crop pics as desired.

i have no issues posting from the ipad, and actually find it easiest. Hit the "plus" button, next to the area you start to write text, a new window pops open, and below, you can add a pic by sleecting an icon. That takes you to your pictures on your ipad. select the one you want, it will then show in a pane below in the orientation. It is always the same way as in your photos. If the picture is right in your photos app, it will be right when posted. If the picture is sideways or upside down in your photo app, it will be the same on the forums.

fix it in your app by rotating it the right way. You can even mark up the photo with comments and lines in the iPad app, and if you select the marked up one from the forums, it will show.

If you have "preview" on your apple device, it will easily resize pictures.
