I'm usually better than this

I tried to append a 33kb image to a post, but the image wasn't in the preview window. Yes, I did wait until the "done" appeared in the status bar.

I'm trying to add it to this post, which I will not preview.

I've never tried to post a picture on this forum.

This, by the way, is the interior of a new Safari.

What am I doing wrong?

I cannot get a single image to upload to my post. I have done it once before with no problem, but it won't work again. The sad part is that I am a computer geek... nerd... I mean enthusiast. Yeah, that's it. Enthusiast. LOL

I've made sure the pic is small enough. < 102400 bytes file size.

I know where it is.

It is of the correct file type.

When I browse and attach the file, it doesn't show up in the preview. If I post it anyway, in hopes that it is there, it doesn't show up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I tried attaching one to this.... nothing!

Hey Overlander

That's a beauty you're standing next to. It looks great! Where is Georgetown? I'm in the DFW area. Will keep an eye out for you as I roam around Texas.

Sneakinup...

Everyone has a slightlty different way of explaining how to load photos. Maybe if you try a different set of "instructions" it may help. Try this thread. My 5/5/03 post has "Attaching Photos to a post or thread...in 4 easy steps", it might help.

Good luck!

Thanks. I read all of those posts and instructions first. This has really got me stumped, as I know it is so simple. I even tried it through Netscape to see if that would make a difference. Same problem.

Maybe I should take a break and go sit out in the AS to clear my head... then try again.

thanks for the complement Tin Hut, Georgetown is on 1-35 about 35 miles north of Austin. Maybe this spring or summer we Texans can organize a vintage outing.

Sometimes it is a good thing if you can't attach a pix like I did last night that was so wrong I too am a 'computer pro' and it took me about six tries to get my misinformation posted. I forgot to go down to the bottom and use the attach file dialog. I was using the IMG button at the top.
