Android Mobile App

Is it just me or is something amiss with the mobile app? My Android phone is telling me that the Air Forums app has crashed and that the developer has been notified?

Anyone?

I get that once in a while, but it always starts OK after that.

The previous version was working, and today I installed an updated version of the Android app. Now it crashes every time I try to start it, on an HTC Evo 4G LTE device on Sprint's network. It crashes instantly both on 3G/4G and on wifi networks.

I have iPhone 3GS and new ipad-- when I try to use the app, it won't let me get to the current posts- I am able to go to messages, but not all buttons on the app site work- hope they get it figured out soon

Interesting- I didn't update the OS on my phone to 6.0 but did on the iPad. The IPad is not working with the app, but the phone is...app version on the phone is 1.5.14, app on the iPad is version unknown as it will not let me get into settings.

Ok so I deleted app, reinstalled without success on iPad- then I powered down the iPad totally and brought it back up and it is working fine- I am a happy camper!

The delete + reinstall process worked for me on my Android phone as well. Of course that was after I sent a complaint to the developers.

Try uninstall/reinstall. It worked for me, I'm currently replying using my Android phone.

The latest release of the app has several issues and we've passed them along to the developer (forum runner) and are waiting for new, new updates. Some work arounds in the meantime may help:

Andriod - try uninstall, reboot (power down device) and reinstall app.
Ipad - launch app with device help in portrait orientation.

Sorry about this folks....

I've had a Help Desk (tech support) ticket today from a member using a Droid Razr -- He said the uninstall/reinstall & cycle phone off/on worked.

That is not the iPad issue. Updates on that as we hear more. Sorry...

I'm posting this with my Verizon Motorola Droid 4 after uninstalling, reinstalling and rebooting. It seems to work fine.

The only reference I could find said it was the phone of a person who was proud to NOT have a cell phone.

That is a phone that is made by the same company that makes the voting machines.......you type in Droid... It prints out Proud........LOL!!!
