I think we got over that: I wave to ALL Airstreams, except B vans and plastic boxes.

And you have a problem with B-Van owners?

A thought to consider.

I believe BigFoot is still out of business???

If so Airstream/Thor could buy the factory and contents.

They could weed out the unwanted product and re introduce the popular models. They could change the color to silver and sell them as another line of Airstream (similar to the way they handled Argosy years ago).

Bigfood was already established as a quality and respected product.

Lightweight fiberglass trailers are right for the times and the Bigfoot quality would only be goodness for the Airstream company.

When we were at JC in late April they had discounted that book radically and apparently have many boxes of them to get rid of. Barb bought it in 2008 at retail and actually it's pretty interesting and has a lot of information about the history of Airstream, sanitized to be sure.

I already own the book... received a copy as a gift. I didn't really want or need the book... I just wanted to post the email. I'm going to wait for Gene's... Airstream: The Unauthorized Biography.

I already have two books,

"B vans" are cool, could be a great tow vehicle
I like them better than the Sprinter.

As for trailers,
Airstream are supposed to move down the road like a stream of air, not a box....

Guess I'm old school.

I was the first to respond to this thread (after AndyR) and immediately took the survey. I haven't received the email, but haven't received a book either. What gives?

I knew nothing!

Hi, until tonight when I recieved an E-mail, I didn't know anything about the first 50 to respond deal. So I don't qualify for the free book. But a few years back, if you went to your local Airstream dealer with a letter that they mailed to you, and looked at the new model trailers, this same book would be mailed to you; So I got the free book anyhow.

Neato cool. Y'all ought to add some wings to the back corners just above the rear side windows... maybe even with some red LED lighting to highlight the retro-look. Whitewalls are a nice touch...
