Airstream Licensing Agreement Complete

I wanted to let everyone know that we are now officially licensed by the mothership (Airstream, Inc) through June 1, 2010. I would like to thank Tim Champ at Airstream for taking the time to understand our situation and creating an agreement that is very fair
.

We will be able to offer shirts (t-shirts, polo style and sweatshirts), stickers (annual sticker and bumper sticker) & “give-a-ways” items such as plastic cups, key chains & postcards.

We will need to select an “official logo” that will never change. We will also be having an annual competition to for our annual stickers that will change each year. The logo and annual sticker designs will require approval from Airstream before we can print them.

I will be posting more about the official logo and the 2005 annual sticker in another thread.

Thanks for being so patient with us while we worked this agreement out.

Hey,

I just noticed the disclaimer at the bottom of each page has changed.

"Airstream is a registered trademark of Airstream Inc. All rights reserved.

Very cool!

Wonderful! I am glad Airstream has recognized this forum as a major medium to those involved in the Airstream way of life, and this forums valuable knowledge base which has helped many people, myself included.

Congrats

Andy,

Well done! Running a site like this can be a LOT of work.

Have you considered giving "rivets" or some other visible token for those volunteering to help you sustain this OUTSTANDING resource? Might help ease the load on you.

How about rivets with silver (aluminum?) clusters?!!!

Andy, congratulations to you and all who have a hand in making this site what it is. With my semi-comutor literacy, I look at all of the sub-forums, the classified/campground/photo/etc sections, the growth of the site, addition of servers, and can only imagine how much work goes into maintaining it. And then you throw in a few of us members complaining about slow connections, advertising, hangnails or whatever.
Thanks for all you do, and the mods who assist in keeping us in line (most of the time ) and help keep things flowing. You can see by the growth of the site that you are filling a nitch for the members, whether help with questions, socializing, humor or ??
Keep it up. Please.
Dave

What about paper plates? I remember the wall of one campground office festooned with plates from different clubs.

It seems I'm late to a LOT of things lately. It's sad. Is this an age thing? Surely it can't be anything to do with aluminitis could it? Oh well, better very extremely embarassingly late than never.

Ha ha! I run a forum myself, and it is always fun when a thread that is a year or older is 'reborn' again.

Kudo's just the same!

A sticker design submission sounds like fun.

Cheers

LOL! Well leave it to me to give rebrith to this thread that was effectively dead for a year. But I am glad to see I wasn't the only who missed it originally. Maybe I too am suffering from "Aluminitis", as it were. Just the same, thanks Andy!
