Airstream Forums iPad app problem

Still no APP issues with iPhone4, iPhone5 and iPad3. All devices on latest iOS release.

The issue is very much present on my ipad 2. And because this issue has been around for several months now and probably a relatively easy fix, it would appear that the folks responsible for the application maintenance are not taking the problem very seriously.

Okay, I was forced to update my iPad to the current version. Now there are bugs, like the screen freezes when turned on its side. Turning the pad vertical unfreezes the screen, but some of the controls are not reachable when oriented vertically. Also, I just typed this with the pad in the horizontal, or landscape, orientation. The send button doesn't work, but if I turn the pad back up, the buttons work.

I just deleted it and reinstalled it........same issues.

I've not seen any problem on my 4s phone. I keep watching the iPad issue. It has been reported on other AIRForums family/Social Knowledge LLC sites -- same app developer.

We are at the mercy of the app developer. This problem was reported to them seems like ages ago -- for sure a couple months back. The last app update (~ mid-December?) did not silence the reports.

The different behavior of this gremlin with landscape/portrait orientation are known. It originally seemed more of an iPad 3 problem. Now iPad 2? Seems it might be a difficult but fruitful experiment to get a working and non-working later gen iPad side by side.

I tried the ipad app last nite, it wanted me to register as a new member, wouldn't go/froze up. What are the benefits of this app anyway?

Overlander. You are brilliant! That gives me a workaround for th issue I am having! I can use the app again. A little more creatively than I like, but it works for now!

Canoestream, yes mine is an IPad 2, so it involves 2s and 3s.

I concur with above. Just updated my AF app last week. Running IPAD2 IOS 6.0 Right side of screen inactive. Tried reboot, reset, reload app etc. Sometimes buttons on right become active when turning to portrait. MAP and other programs work fullscreen so it's definitely the new AF APP.

Okra, one small fly in the ointment.


I can't expand the pages to make them larger, as in larger=more easily readable without the reading glasses.

I'll take what I got for now, and gratefully, but perhaps at the next update.........

My ipad 2 works zooming in just using the spread 2 fingers trick. I can enlarge fine.

Hmmmmm, mine will not do that. Tried two fingers on one hand and one finger on each hand.

By the way, my prior post should say "Okay", not "Okra". Couldn't read it well enough to know it needed to be corrected.

See what I mean?

Will have computer genius son look at this when he comes for dinner tonight. I'll report back in case anyone else has the same problem.
