Is Airstream Daily associated with Air Forums? I had a pop-up when I came to Air this morning, and started to subscribe, but was put off by the name of the secure link (https://fedburner.goolge.com/fb/a/mailconfirm etc...) Sounds like spam.

I subscribed and it still pops up every time. Looks like subscribing doesn't affect it in terms of eliminating it at start-up.

Am I missing something here? I am getting the daily email which is okay.

It's possible that you are seeing this if you are purging cookies when leaving the site. Can you enable cookie exchange with the site? This is how we keep you logged in at page changes and also remember to not show you that little pop-up.

Cookies are enabled, not purged and I am also subscribed to the email. I get them daily but the Popup persists.

Please understand it is annoying, particularly on the smartphone since it is difficult to find the little X to kill it. I have essentially given up using the forum on the smartphone now.

Just understand that bottom line the site now has:
1. Made the use of my smartphone such a pain that I gave it up. (I travel each week and the smartphone is my link to the web on my travel days.)
2. The incentive to subscribe to the email to eliminate the popup doesn't exist.
3. The email is interesting but with the with the persistence and disincentive of the popup it begins to become classified as email clutter for someone who is still working and travelling.

This is a great forum that many enjoy but the little popup may be getting the site owner less than he imagined.

When trying to login using iPhone Safari, that popup can be closed then reopens befor I can enter login!

In the last couple of days my Airstream Daily has ceased to send me any daily updates. I checked my spam file - nothing. I went in to the subscription pop-up and tried to re-subscribe but just get a notice that my email is already subscribed. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Same thing here. No daily topics for the last 4 or 5 days. And ditto about that annoying pop-up. Keeps showing up, hijacking the keyboard input and slowing the system down Nonsense

Same here, signed up again just to stop the popups and the daily email topics stopped coming in for the past week. An admin must be monitoring this thread because I received the daily topic email an hour ago but of course it wasn't one it was duplicates.

There is na option in your user cp to disable the newsletter nag here: http://www.airforums.com/forums/prof...do=editoptions

Scroll down to the last option - hit save when you are done.
