Airforums, Stop redirecting the page I visit

OK, I don't know what it is called but when I visit some pages on the forums it automatically scrolls me down the page a bit.
I thought I read somewhere this was a new feature that would put me at the latest post but that does not seem to be the case, I can find no rhyme or reason of where it puts me.
Regardless I can't stand this, it irritates the hell out out of me and I wish this annoying pain in the a** practice would stop, I just want my page to load, I am quite capable of figuring out where I want to go all by myself.

Just venting, thanks for listening.

I think that it jumps around to different places while it is loading.

Part of it is a "computer thing". It will send you to the first post in a thread since the last time you logged in, or it will send you to the first new post since the last time you viewed that thread. If you click the little blue arrow thing next to the thread title on the portal page, it will take you to the first post you haven't read.

Bruce,

overlander63 answered your question fully and correctly. Does that clear up your question as to navigating the forums?
