An inexpensive solution is to use aluminum extension poles. cutting off the tip and drilling a hole through at mounting points for carabiners. You could also mount a swivel lock if you prefer.

We have been using a couple from Ace hardware for several years and they are surprisingly durable.

Here's some info on the the aluminum multiple pole holders too. Down at the bottom of the page there is some detailed info on the extension poles as well.

.

Flags have been a long time coming... over the years we have discussed flags, hats, tees and a variety of other swag and there have been several problems that stopped the process. The main one is design. No one could agree on a design. We've had several design threads over the years but imagine a design committee of hundreds. There was no clear path forward.

For flags, the second issue was cost. Old school nylon flags are expensive to make and only the very best are durable. About two years ago that changed with the introduction of light weight spun poly flags to the market. Super thin, super light, durable and affordable.

I absolutely LOVE meeting forum members in parks. A flag is cool way to do that - and they look awesome flapping in the breeze.
