Adding a picture

I can't seem to find how to add a picture to your profile so that it shows up in all posts. Any assistance is appreciated!

Nick

Hi Nick, Go to your User CP, then to Edit Profile Picture. Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 400 by 400 pixels or 100.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

Lee,
I am also having trouble adding a picture to our profile. I followed you directions, adding the pic to the #2 option but when I pressed 'save changes'--says failed!
My pic is only 32kg & a jpg. Any help for me? TIA

Hi Victoria, I can see a profile picture. Trailers butt going over a bridge???

Could you be talking about an Avatar Picture. Like the picture of me holding the soda.

I don't see a profile picture pic for Nick though. Did you get what I was typing?

Yes, that is our trailer going over the bridge! But the pic doesn't show one our postings.
What should I do to see the pic on our postings?

That's called an Avatar. It's a lot like the profile pic.
The next set of instructions.

Avatars
To upload or change an avatar:

An avatar is the little picture displayed below your user name in the profile box on the left side of every post. You may use a forums avatar or upload your own custom avatar. Avatars are limited in size to 80 x 80 pixels or 100 KB (whichever is smaller) and contributing members may load avatars that are 120 x 120 pixels.

To choose a forum-standard avatar:
1. Click user CP (control panel) on upper blue tool bar.
2. Click edit avatar on left side menu.
3. Select the avatar you desire for the available pictures and click the selection dot below the picture.
4. Click save changes.

To upload a custom avatar: Choose a picture you like that is stored in your computer. Resize the picture to meet the size requirements above using a photo/image editor or camera software. Images that are too large will fail to load and you will receive and error message.

1. Click user CP (control panel) on upper blue tool bar.
2. Click edit avatar on left side menu.
3. Scroll down to the "Custom Avatar" box and click the "use Custom Avatar" button.
4. Click Browse button. A file menu screen will appear and you can choose the avatar file to be loaded. The file name should appear in the "upload an avatar from your computer box".
5. Click save changes.

Not sure what a CP is but I went to my profile and clicked on about me. I don't see anything there about adding a picture.

Found the CP reference in your upload avatar response. Had no idea that was there.

Thanks, Nick

Although it doesn't seem to work! It's less than 10kb and appears as saved but doesn't show.

Oh well...

Oh well...
I see a pic of an Argy with the awning out and the back of a white truck... I think your confusing Profile with Avatar. Go through the instructions of the Avatar (custom) and I bet you get the results you want.

Lee,
Let's test it. seems like a classic case of EBUAK (Error between user and keyboard).
