What have I found?

Found this little Airstream in a field of junk. No one around except two goats, a dog and a cat. No one to ask about it. From the windows I think it's in the 60's. Looks to be 17 to 20 foot from the road.

Looks to me to be a 22'er in about a '61, '62 or '63 model year. Really hard to decifer much beyond that. Maybe one of the goats would be willing to cut a deal.

Take a guess - looks like a 65/6/7/8 Tradewind given the window configuration. The Safari had only one rear streetside rear window I believe... two windows total on that side - the Tradewind had three

Sitting in tall grass? You're looking at bad frame and floors. And it was probably in fair shape until it was parked there.

Canoestream, sitting in tall grass in the dry Oklahoma, weather isn't the same as where you are. I wouldn't worry about floor rot as much as small furry animals making it a home. You know some Winters it never rains or snows and most Summers are 100+ with little rain. Sitting on this hard Oklahoma red clay is like sitting on concrete. Still I would like to get a closer look at it. Whatever it is.

Looks to me to have the flat windows, so that rules out the years of the curved Corning windows. Although, it kinda looks to have the tail lights of the early '70's too but really hard to tell. Ask one of the goats to get you a serial number and we'll all know for sure.

My vote says a '65 Safari.

'65 Safari

Three reasons:

1. Flat framed windows
2. Same window configuration
3. First year for the square framed tail lights.

Went out and was able to find the Uncle of the owner. NO we could not get closer to take pictures, NO he doesn't know anything about the trailer except the owner got it when his father died, NO the owner has no phone (it's been disconnected, NO the owner has no money but he doesn't think he's interested in selling so he could get money to pay his phone bill, BUT he told us where the guy worked and I'm going to call him tomorrow to see if he'd like to see his father's Airstream back on the road and taken care of. Well it's worth a try. Uncle said we couldn't get closer than A QUARTER MILE because "they're funny bout that, you know". HUM?
