Starting modifications on my '67 Caravel

Hi everybody !

I started to rebuild my 17 Foot Caravel 2 Weeks ago.
Here are some pictures of the progress...

1. Iam driving to my new garage
2. everything is demounted
3. first stage of metalwork, the frame hangs down 3 cm

Ahhhhh very nice.

Looks like you are doing a first class rebuild.
May I make a suggestion? I see that all the windows are sitting in a raised position. It might be better to close them. They are VERY fragile like that and are subject to someone hitting them and breaking the window or hurting themselves. As you know, they don't have frames, are hard to see like that and are expensive to replace.
(voice of experience...bad experience.)

Hi Melody Ranch,

thanks for your suggestion. They are closed now . Do you know if the replacement glass windows are still available ? I read something about them, but cant find them any more....
Currently they are made of Plexiglass. I will replace them in a later step with darker one.
