Good find on the magazines. They are fun to read.
One thing I've noticed is the number of guys wearing ties while posing for their workshop pics, and also the fact that many of the men are shown smoking a pipe. Even the Wordless Workshop drawings has the fellow with a pipe in every drawing. The January 1955
issue had an article on how to build an inexpensive house - and they were building one for the senior western editor at 1436 Allenford Ave, Los Angeles- using asbestos
cement panels for the walls. Interesting enough, on the page preceding that article, is a trailer mounted on pontoons for cruising the waterways.
