A little progress...

I've been slowly chipping away at my 67' Caravel for a couple of years now. Most of the work has been on the interior. This little trailor was in pretty rough shape when I first got it home. Thought I would try to post a few pics

Very nice!

You have done a great job. I like the woodwork and the cabinet latches. Are they original? Thanks for sharing.

Cabinet latches

Yes they are the original latches. They were were quite rusty but I sanded them smooth and then used some metal polish. I kept the original hardwood where I could but replaced all of the old plywood with either birch or poplar. The stain is Watco Medium Danish Oil. The flooring is Tarket Seagrass fibrefloor.

Nice job!!! What grit did you use on the cabinet latches? I have the same ones and really like the looks of your refurbished ones!

Cabinet latches

I did them last summer, but if my memory is correct I used a plain old medium grit sandpaper. If you expand the pic you can see they have a "brushed" look to them. They were very rusty to start with, I started by soaking them in a liquid rust remover, then sanded them, then polished them.
