'66 Caravel on Ebay

Anyone watching this on Ebay. Alot of $$$$ for a shiny Caravel. I'm going out to polish my Caravel now.

$18,900 for a 66 Caravel

Can't believe that this trailer went for such a high price...Makes that Cyclo polisher a good investment.

Rob,

Not sure what you paid for yours, but I think it just went up in value!

HOLY COW!
Did you see how much that went for?
When I am done with my Minuet it should go for about $10G's!

Makes me question my sanity about doing "restore" rather than "refurbish". Granted we are talking apples (Tradewind) and oranges (Caravel-highly desirable size) but that's a lot of cash!

Look closer

If you look real close to the inside pics, there are somethings that you should be better for 18,900. The panel on the frig looks to be coming off. The wood panel next to the door "appears" to be paneling(vert. lines). Covers on the couch/bed appear not to be the best job I've ever seen. Not trying to be a na-saying, just for 18,900, I'd look real close.

Perhaps with a name like "Skull Crusher," one isn't going to be quite as discriminating when it comes to these little things.

Serioiusly, that's great news for the seller (if Skully doesn't back out or something,) and I look forward to polishing mine for the joy alone of knowing it's increasing in value.

Let's see if the deal is closed or not. I to will be having the Caravel polished before selling it next year if that's the reward.

Polishing

I have a local fellow here in L.A that will polish any 17ft trailer for
$1000. Will post pics to show his kinda work. Being that I transport trailers from time to time across statelines, may be I can set up a pick up , polish and delivery.

At the other end of the spectrum, there is a 2001 Bambi from San diego with only one bid for $18,000.00 . Man! thats a lot of depreciation for a four year old.

Wow!

We sold our '67 Caravel about 5 yrs ago for $4600! I was sure cool -- just not enough room for the four of us.
