Has anyone replaced the blackwater tank in a '66 (or similar) Caravel? It appears that I could somehow get it out thru the closet beside the potty. Otherwise, it looks like cutting the one-piece shower pan in front of the toilet, which I don't want to do. It's at the RV repair place now and they're not sure how to proceed. I don't have a lot of options up here in the mountains...
Look in the 66 Caravel forum here....I documented on how to do it fast and easy....easier than I thought it would be.

I just pulled mine out and will post pictures sat afternoon my black was caved in because it had no upper support. It will come out from the closet but since I am gutting our 66 caravel I had already removed the closet. If handling dirty plumbing bothers you get so rubber gloves. The flange unscrews from the top after you remove the 8 screws holding the flange down. And remove the 4 screws holding the valve on the bottom. Oh yes cut the vent pipe. Both of the vent covers on the top of the caravel were cracked all the way around. Have not found replacements for those yet. VTS has the tank.
