4yrs later finally starting on The Rooster

I had bought this 1967 Caravel in Greensboro NC when I was living in Athens, GA. Well I moved to South Dakota and picked up pheasant hunting and what better way to hunt than out of this AirStream.
After a great hunting year with my new puppy George I have decided to tear into this project.
I closed the door on the bath room 4yrs ago and decided this morning would be the day we open it up and get started.
My major fear was the shower pan. I found a picture here of what one should look like. https://picasaweb.google.com/bbell13...97456621051202
As you can see I'm missing half of the shower pan that goes under the toilet.
Can I find one anywhere? Is my pan Fiberglass and can I have it redone or is the the plastic one?
If I can't find one and it can't be repaired would it be that bad to make one out of a engineered granite. I work at a granite factory so the materials would be scrap for other jobs so its free. I think I could do the whole bath room and be in at under 80lbs.
My other question is would it be bad to change the upper cabinets lids to solid wood. I don't care for the plastic looking finish on these. Thanks for all the help. I'll try and keep the progress and pics coming.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

Can't help with the shower pan. Maybe one of those places that makes spas would be interested in laying one in for you.
I didn't like the airplane style doors on the upper cabinets. So I removed the doors, built new face frames and doors. Then attached them to the existing aluminum frame.
There are pics on my blog.

Wow you did a good job on the doors. I doubt a spa place would touch it for under 500 bucks. There is always the hope someone will know where I can find on cheap. I'm going to make a template and start on the granite one just in case one doesn't show up.
Thanks

A P.O. must have removed part of your shower pan to replace the black water tank under the toilet. I don't have a source for an exact replacement, but incaplastics.com may be able to fabricate one for you given exact measurements, photos, etc. A search of this forum may help.

For $500 you could probably get it made from stainless. Granite might be a little heavy back there, but it's a nice short trailer so weight would be less of a problem.

Sioux Falls has some good welders. The best I know is Midwest Metal Works in Canton.

There must have been some damage in the past as you can see my c channel is gone.
Any thoughts on what to do here?

Is that how the rear support is supposed to look?

I would this it should run all the way to the c channel but maybe not.

That is indeed how the rear support should look. a lot of units didnt even have that earlier on. If you have the classic U shaped c channels just have some bent up at your local HVAC shop. Use 5052 in .040 for some additional strength and your good to go.

I can't help but think this black water tank looks pretty small. Thoughts?

Well that escalated quickly.

Seems like some frame damage. Should I cut and replace or re wield the original? Can I still pull this a short distance like 5 miles to a shop for wielding or am I stuck in my driveway?

Thanks for all the help!

Have you been towing it? If you towed it in, I'd bet you can tow it out.
