It sounds like your trailer is in good hands. I am sure you will love it when you get it back and start using it. It is really exciting to take it out camping and have people stop by asking questions and admiring your trailer.

I do think the dog bone like the abstracts are 60's in the "Mod" sort of way. But I am wanting more rustic or simple like stainless steel or linen look. All the linen samples are beige and black or grey. Yick.
What I really love is old fashioned floor tile style, or in Marmeluem (spelling) with a chrome band edging. However, that truly is more 40s and 50's. Not sure I should get hung up on decades.

For the "chrome band edging" look you might be wanting aluminum. It looks more appropriate in our aluminum trailers. I like that look too and it allows you to not have to worry about the edge of the countertop as it covers the edge. Here is a great source for aluminum edging...

I am going to talk to Sean (restorer) about Stainless steel. If I could use something from another house/trailer it would look more vintage.
But I also found Formica one that could look similar to old Textolite.

Here's the interior materials I am thinking of so far. The wood will be alder or hickory because I live knots. I like a honey colored stain.

The laminate is Formica "Paloma Bisque"
It looks more like natural stone/pebble, more rustic than
Dogbone. That looked 60's mod squad! ;-)

I like the colors and fabric choices! Are you thinking about the Clay color chip for the wall color? If so it might be a little dark for that use. It might make the space look more enclosed. I like light colors for walls that will make the space look more open. I like the counter laminate choice.

Actually there is a Caravel 65-66 that timeless Travel(?) had restored. They had light birch stained wood and a chilli pepper red paint on the walls. I knew I loved it.
I can't stand beige and white. I want warm, cozy, rustic. We are actually doing open shelves instead of upper storage cabinets and low lighting but LEDs also.
If I can find the pic I'll post it.
