I will suggest you use a siphon feed cup gun to spray the POR15 on. Buy it at the orange or blue box for about $50. It will save you many many hours.

Okay Mr. Frank you are a pro I am a master of none so what is the level of difficulty? Maybe I should ask what is the skill level required? I have procured many new tools thanks to the caravel and I have even gone back to visit that long forgotten skill of welding (flux welding) next I find someone that can bend some channel for outriggers (I will cut them myself!) weld them in place coat the frame on Thursday. Not supposed to rain! Thanks Frank you are and have been a great help! Maybe someday I will be able to return the favor.

Cliff, if I can do it so can you. It is actually very easy to spray and you will find a bunch of how to videos on YouTube. Even if you mess up, it just a frame and will never be seen again. Top coat the parts that will be exposed within 24 hours of the POR15 or it won't stick. I personally do not like their top coat products. Many on this forum have used them, but I do not like the use of black or silver. The color spectrum is broad...
BTW, I have a thing for 1966 trailers. It was the year of my birth and many 1966 trailers have drifted through my shop.

Can I use krylon for the topcoat? Does it have to be a POR's topcoat?

POR will say to use only their products. I don't. I do not like what they offer. I generally use PPG Omni line auto paints.

Frame is still on flipping yoke and freshly painted and ready for the floor. Will post a picture of the frame soon.

Update frame done

Okay it has been awhile but I have finished the frame and bought cut and have the first coat of thompsons water seal, also cut the aluminum for the uchannel and the replacement piece for the back to protect the floor better than the thin strip they had put there. By the end of the week I hope to have her ready to put the shell back on!

Your frame looks real good! POR 15 makes it look much better and well protected. Looking forward to seeing the shell on! I am finding it hard to find time to work on mine at the moment. Hopefully soon.

We went through a 3month period like that and now with watching the youngest grandchildren (twins 3.5 months) I have to squeeze whatever time that I can get. No worries you will be getting her done in no time. I just ordered some parts for the shell which is the next phase of the project.

Okay I know that this is not rocket science but it is the part I really hate and that is drilling and bolting on the new floor and why you ask. Let's just say I have been dealing with broken outriggers and bent (factory welded that way) outriggers and not much left of the orig subfloor to go by. But I am doing the rest of this part on friday so wish me luck. I have had to replace the fender wells (broken axle po had new spindle welded on and did the Frankenstein patch job) street side rusted out just before the outrigger did. U or C channel was bent and pieced in so all new except the corner curves which I repaired the best that I could. I am sealing all of the contact points like the step cover and the aluminum face plate at the steps with rubber coating trying to fight the corrosion problem that ate the old ones. I can do it I just don't enjoy it as much as dental visits! The belly pan will be a walk in the park as long as my flipping yoke hold the weight with the floor on! if it does I may keep it! I will let you all know how it turns out.
Thanks for listening
Cliff

Okay I cursed myself by drilling holes in the subfloor to install it and now it has rained for a solid week! I just watched the weather and maybe the sun will come out on Wednesday! Once the shell is back on the rain will not be a major issue (minor issue). I plan on posting once it is back on!

Things have not changed much the weather a death in the family and anything that can impede my progress have occurred. I will endeavor to persevere. Progress soon.
