You know, there seems to be quite a little contingent of us Missouri Airstreamers on the Forum. Yep, we have a few sayings among us: stubborn as a Missouri mule, you gotta Show Me, as well as the "state of Misery". We can poke fun at ourselves, but brother, watch out, anyone else! What are we like? We're a stewpot! Jest a touch of the 'Ole South, a lot of Appalachia, a little bit of the North Woods, and the west. . .why that western expansion thing really launched at St. Louis back in 1804! I really like our Missouri. Hope a lot of you travel through and stay awhile this summer!

And don't get us started on Missouree or Missourah! Statewide politicians have real problems when they come to town campaigning. We know where their allegiance is when they pronounce the state name. In St. Louis its Missouree. Go into the rural areas and its Missourah. And those Kansas City folks, I'm not sure if they really aren't Kansan's but boy do they have good BBQ.

As you see we haven't forgotten the 1985 World Series and "the call" from Don Deckinger.

Oooh, Jack! That's almost fightin' words. Those KC folks may rise up and bite ya! But you're dead right about the "ee" or "ah"--except for me. Growing up right here smack dab in the middle of the state, I find myself saying it both ways! That's probably because we're surrounded by all the windy politicians who have come to the capitol city from all over the state!

Gee... I guess I didn't invent that saying, after all. We lived in Riverton for a while.

Remember Gallagher the comedian? He did a bit about if it was just a coincidence that a state named Misery was next to a state named Ill-annoy.

Updated

Spent the last two days fixing the website, making it a little less annoying, more pictures, a few less colors (at least on the new pages).

All since my polishing was rained out....

So, please have a look-see, and let me know if there are any issues that I overlooked, and links that fail.

The house tour is next week, and we'll be handing out business cards, and I had 35 Tshirsts made up with the website on it. So, Any improvement suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so Much!!!!

Ron

Tin can luv- I just finished looking at the entire Ikea on-line site. WOW!!! July 2005 opening in DFW is not soon enough for me! Wasn't there another big store chain ages ago? marimekko? Well, you probably dont have any time for E-mails, good luck Sunday. I hope Jim comes. Thanks for introducing me to Ikea-although I don't know if my husband will be happy about it!! Are the prices really that cheap here??? Silver suz
