Didi and I are excited abiut the lates t addition to the Airstream stable. We got a 1963 Globetrotter from a friend. It is a wonderful little trailer, and best of all it was left original for the most part.
Are you going to shine it up as great as the one you brought to San Clemente?
I have not decided yet. The metal is dull, and has some corrosion, but no clear coat. I will have to wash it, it had been sitting in a dusty storage yard for several years. Once there's a little mor room at Area 63, i will bring it in and give it a bath and once-over with the pressure washer.
What a great looking GT. The body looks perfect and the interior is very well maintained. The new fridge fits in perfectly. What is the blue plaque just behind the door?
With a polish job and aluminum tanks that trailer will turn a lot of heads. I've seen some custom covers for the spare tire that would be perfect also.

Congradulations Uwe. The 19' Globetrotters are great little trailers. Looking forward to see what you do with it'
My plan so far is just tires, a little paint on the tongue and bumper, repairing the old dump valve, and cleanup.
btw. does anyone have a clue if how, and why the old cast metal dump valve comes apart? The trailer is not close by, I'd like to go prepared when I go to fix it..

Hi Richard: Got any leads on the custom spare tire covers?
