I expected a few glitches, just not necessarily a flood.

However, on a more pleasant note - the front floor section dried out very well, and seems rock solid. Yay. No shell removal needed.

Yes. Perfect and solid floor. No frame rot, either. Had a good look when I removed the dump valve. It looks like all new flooring under the bathroom, it is even treated with a shiny wood sealer.

Beautiful. You've worked hard on other trailers, you deserve the break.

The previous owner of the Globetrotter gave me a tabbed folder with all the original literature in it. It is organized by appliance, and/or trailer system. It has the original tag from the heater, water heater and Tappan stove. There is even a Kelsey Hayes brake manual, plus letters from Airstream dated 1958/1962.
Going through this folder last night was like digging through a small piece of Airstream history.

I wouldn't know how to act with something so easy as "just a little wet spot" I hope the gas is easier, with luck you won't have to replace any of the appliances with new, that will not fit any of the OEM spaces. WINK WINK, Nudge Nudge

Hey, not ugly. I see some potential in this farmer's daughter! She just needs a bath, manicure, pedicure, haircut, some dental work, a little silicone (read: vulkem), some new threads, a few pair of shoes, and some time on the treadmill and she'll turn heads!

A great find. Hope she was "inexpensive."

Thanks to a heads up from Rob Baker, a nice Buy-it-Now price and a quick trigger finger...I think I made a great deal.

Ooooh, nice one Steve! Don't forget to budget in a pair of real Bargman 99's, too. Those square ones seem a bit, well.. square.

I love other people's projects - all the joy of seeing 'em fixed up, with none of the expense or actual sweat on my part.

I saw that one Steve and it looked like a good price to me too. As soon as I saw it, I can remember thinking that someone on the Forums would likely snatch it up and get a great deal. Glad to see it was you, although I didn't even know you were in the market!

Looks good, should be a fun project for you.

That's one thing I'm learning about us Airstreamers... aluminitis strikes with random and powerful force. Often when we're not even in the market for another trailer!
