62 Globetrotter update for 2006

Haven't see anything new posted, wondered what happened to everybody. I just finished replacing the front floor section and a piece by the door that was rotted. Got it back together and now have to rebuild the gouchos. New paint inside, have a door hinge to fix, we are replacing the stove and refrigerator (haven't decided with what yet) . Window cranks wil be a problem but I'm not worried about it yet, we can get them all open one way or another. I removed the sliding doors to the overhead cabinets and am replacing them with lift of doors on piano hinges. New doors will be covered with leather and decorated with upholstery tacks. We are going for the lodge look, with an ongoing fancy paint job that will be added to on every campout.I invite you to update what you are doing to your GT and any plans for 06. We have this chance to communicate, lets use it.

ive been wanting to get a little time on my hands to let the old globetrotter re invent itself on me again. every experiece is a new one.last thing done to it was the carpets and a new heater element to the original 62 norcold fridge and a new thermo coupler to the original carlton gas water heater. i put electric brakes on a while back and rear mounted the spare tire,i know i need to get out there and charge her battery, the original forklift type for my added on electric jack. i put a new thrmo coupler on the original bowen gas water heater.i have roof mounted a/c and a fantastic fan for the next voyage,i did a little work to the propane side of th norcold fridge,mainly just cleaned up the gas ports. i have the original magic chef 3 burner oven. its never been cooked in.when i really get some time id like to start polishng again,or should i say finish polishing,but rite now id settle for just a short trip with this 1970"s CT-70 honda mini trail im buying this weekend if it ever comes,
