What it is?
I've made a deal to acquire this AS but the current owner doesn't know what year or type or length.
Anyone know their AS's well enough to ID this critter?
Many thanks!

md,
If you post the serial number, which is on the plate under the window in front of the door, there will be no guessing.
My guess is a mid 1970 Safari.
Bill

I agree with Aerowood. I have a 73 Safari which does look like this but if you expand the picture you can make out Trade Wind on the name plate.

ok, I see it now thought that was land yacht too. My neighbor has a 75 Safari with 2 axles. We tried to buy it from him but his daughter wants it. Plus I think he wanted over $5000 for it. Original owner. inside is in ok shape...

they were all "land yachts" back then.
"safari" was available with single or double axle configs, I think through 1974.
edit: the single main door hinge puts it at 71. definately pre-73. (my door has 2 hinges.).

It looks like a 1972 Land Yacht "Trade Wind" by the door hinge, the rounded front and angled back, and the shape of the A/C shroud. The body is in good shape for its age.
