Small awnings driver's side and rear

We have a 1974 25 ft Tradewind. Is there a way to lock down the smaller awnings on driver's side and rear. There are two holes a little lower than midway from the bottom of the support arms. Does something fasten in these holes to lock the awnings during travel? Or just how do you lock the awnings down during travel. These are Zip Dee awnings with original hardware.
