Fitting new Dometic fridge under counter

ok we got our old Dometic RM 67 fridge out from under the counter, now the model Dometic says to replace it with is one inch taller and there's not enough clearance under the counter. Any suggestions? I read somewhere that someone shortened the cabinets up above the counter but can't remember how they did that. Thanks

On my 72 Tradewind the new Dometic turned out to be 1/2 inch wider. Had to have the pantry storage area cut down the 1/2 " to make room so the end panel would fit. The fridge also sat back an extra inch so had to put a trim piece of wood down so the floor looked right. So while it was all apart went ahead and put in new formica replacing the vintage orange. And then replaced the entire end piece and replaced with new Oak 1/4 inch panel that we cut back some so the TV could be seen from the counter. It's not just a refrigerator, it's an adventure...
