Here's a pic of one in a 71. It was originally a black fiber tubing just shoved down in a rough cutout in the floor. The vent tubing was replaced when the water heater was changed out.
I like the Aluminum duct. I may get rid of my old black conduit and go to something like what you have. I have about two or three feet of excess duct crammed in behind the wall...that set up looks nice and clean.
