Red face Airstream newbie, loving every minute

I'm soooo excited to have purchased a 71 airstream!

It was well-kept, and camped in often, until the previous owner bought it and never used it. It sat in his yard for 3 years. I bought it not knowing if anything worked, or what it's issues may be.

Needless to say, I've been scrubbing up a storm and everything is coming almost completely clean. It's beautiful. To me, it looks like a diamond

What I need to do is have it looked at, and probably serviced.

I'm in southeastern Mass, halfway between Boston and Providence.

Can anyone recommend someone to look 'er over??

summerjoy,
marcy

Hi there, I too just bought a 71 tradewind a couple of weeks ago so I share your enthusiasm. Maybe we can swap info and questions that may come up. What kind of shape is your rear bath in? Mine is kind of rough and I am contemplating which way to go with it. I ordered an owners manual from the airstream site and it has been very helpful. I got a 72 service manual with my trailer and although it is the next year it has been helpful. I got a 72 service manual with my trailer that has been very helpful. It is pretty big but I will be glad to mail or fax you any copies of any particular issue that may come up that you could use some more info on. It has helped me deal with my univolt and other stuff I had no idea about. I have been repairing tambour doors all afternoon. It is a lot of fun!
