'70-'79 Tradewinds: are they rare?

I am just curious. I own a 70 25' tradewind and don't see a lot of recent posts in this section of the forums. Also seems kinda odd that so many years are grouped for this one model.

So I am in the middle of repairing the rear bath, Subfloor and all. New electric. new plumbing. Rebuilt the black tank. New AC and fridge soon to come as well.

I am finishing the underbelly this week. then whitecote on the sink and tub. Then that goes back in.

Here is a pic of the inner skin getting reinstalled and cleaned.

Lets the 70-79 tradewind thread alive again!!!

Hey johnamjr, I don't think Trade Winds are necessarily any rarer than the others, but you're right, there isn't much activity in this section. Not sure why, but glad you're posting about yours. Your pic didn't show, I would love to see what all you've been doing on yours.

I did not think they were that rare either. We have been busting our butt to do a partial Reno on budget.

Let me get some of those pics up. Not sure why they didn't post.

Image issues...

That's the period when Beatrice owned Airstream... Just like when AMF owned Harley... just not a good deal for the product as the reputation got tarnished by miss-management and quality cutting. Probably a great opportunity to improve it... hopefully the quality cutting wasn't severe enough to seriously affect the frame.

Thanks Chuck!
I did not know that. Ours seems good in the frame dept. only the usual rear bath floor rotting.

looks similar

The layout and appointments look similar to my pre-Beatrice 68...
Do you have the double or the twin?

I wonder if they used leftover parts before it went downhill.
