I bought spray in foam kit for my underbelly. Mine came with foam sprayed in at the factory and it held up pretty well. It can hold water if it gets wet up in there though. I've made water getting in there from above quite difficult.
I've made it difficult for rodents and other in-sundry critters to find a way in there as well. I have a couple screened intakes for airflow to the fridge and a custom mounted AC unit. I'm looking into trying to engineer a serviceable remote AC unit down there in my next renovation.

This is where I got the kit to do the spray foam insulation. I have yet to do it as I need to finish up everything and test it as well before I seal everything in there with the foam. I plan to put in several inches at about r-7 per inch.
The extra leftover I will use in another space in my house that needs it. There is a procedure for shutting the spray mechanism down to be used again later, but it needs to be used again within 30 days so I plan to use it all somewhere in one shot. I have to be careful how much I use as layering it on too thick can be a problem... I also don't want to get it on the back of any aluminum as it can be difficult to remove. I don't want it where it could wick water into the foam if it somehow gets inside. I will probably use painters tape and plastic sheet as a barrier where I will spray close to the shell... similar to masking for painting.

That foam kits a little rich for my blood. Would be nice to do. But can't fit that in the budget.

Great product, used this and it laid out well with a foam roller no rollermarks, make sure you use a resperator, very potent fumes.

I tinted mine to a light grey and it worked great, mine cured a little faster than stated in the instructions be careful not to mix up too much for the first coat, I made this mistake and wasted a large qty.

The old Armstrong came off with out much of a fight. Jacking it up from the inside really helped get it separated after removing all screws and cutting under all the vulcum.

New floor is in. Old fridge is out. Good thing the new ac unit works great. Makes it some much better to work inside.

I know this thread is older, but that front couch is gorgeous compared to the one that came with my '76. Is it a replacement or original? Re-upholstered maybe?
