1971 Tradewind purchase price???

Hi everyone I just have a question in regarding the price of a 1971 Tradewind that I have the opportunity to purchase. The trailer is in overall good condition with the exceptions it would needs a new floor covering and also I do not know if any of the systems work on the interior. I'm willing and capable of doing any updating/repairs needed so with that is $4,500 to much for the purchase price thank you so much for any insights/suggestions

Pics would help, but as a guideline, look at the price vs condition section on vintageairstream.com.

Have you thoroughly checked the floors for rot, and the backend for rear end separation?

I have inspected the floor thoroughly throughout the trailer and have not found any rot/soft spots, but i am not familiar with rear end separation? Are you just referring to frame condition?

The price seems reasonable for a rig of that age in good condition, but a picture really is worth a thousand words. A "Hands On" inspection is your best bet still. Post some photographs if you are able and I am certain that you will get some feedback to assist you in your decision making process.

Good luck,

Kevin

$4500 seems reasonable to me. I recently picked up a 71' Tradewind twin. I am considering removing a good amount of the interior. Let me know if you need anything.

If it has been kept covered it would pay that. The ones that stay outside with no maintenance are worth their weight in scrap metal. Floor rot and rear end separation are very common on trailers of that age. This in many times means a shell off restoration.

Owners Manual

Do you happen to have the part of the owners manual for that 71 Tradewind that shows the floor plan and electrical/plumbing diagrams? I've got a copy of the Owners Manual but not that information, which I have been told is in a second document?
