We meant 1963 flying cloud. This forum was empty, so we thought we'd try and get something started.

Last of the Flying Clouds

Welcome to the Forums!

I have a '63 FC, as well, and I'm just down the road from you in San Diego. Looks like you're doing some major work on that beauty! I hope that you know that all your efforts will be worth it in the end -- you'll have something of which you will be very proud.

The '63 on R.J.'s site (vintageairstream.com) is a "before" picture of mine. If this link works, here's a "mostly after" picture:

http://www.airstream.net/rallies/03-...StoddardsD.jpg

I think there has only been one other 63FC owner on the Forum in the last few years. There's a fellow named Roger who had one converted into a "D.A.R.E." vehicle for police use.

If you go to the VAC site and look at the past rally photos for the Rocky Mtn. region you will find a few other examples. As I recall, there's a family in Cody, WY with a 63FC, a couple in Colorado, and one in Arizona.

Feel free to "pm" me with any questions. Again, Welcome!

Tom

Hi Tom!

We're really learned a lot from that website (vintageairstream.com)! What a BEAUTIFUL trailer you have!!

I'd love to see more pictures!

Is your interior layout original or did you guys change it up?

Great to hear from you - hope we can find more 63FC owners!

just got one

Hi,
New to the forums, but just put a deposit down on a 63 Flying Cloud I found in the back of a body shop yard where the owner had passed away last year. Skin looks great (needs polishing and removal of bird poo). The interior will be a challenge, but one that I hope I'm up for.

Really appreciate all the tips that are on this forum. Flying Clouders unite!
