Drove 200+ miles O/W too see this one

Gotta tip about one sitting. Found this beauty, but she's way to big for me. If anybody is interested in one of these, let me know! I'll tell you how to find her.

Looks like a 1960-1962 California-built Ambassador.

Nice looking Ambie. I don't see the California standard sewer vent coming out of the rear end cap.
Any pics of the inside?

No. I didn't go inside. No body would answer the door. They are asking $2500 for it.

How strongly do you feel about built in California? Looks more like an Ohio job.

Vinnie, It also says Jackson center, OH on the top right of the mgf. plate and that is even harder to see.

I see it has an Ohio licence plate on the back but I can't remember the years they were white and green. That might give a good indication when it was last on the road.
Anyone know?

I'm not an expert, but I think it is an Ohio built trailer. Long California trailers have a sewer vent that comes up out of the vanity in the bathroom straight up through the rear end cap.

I would love to talk to you if it were a 30 footer! I am looking for either a 13 or 7 panel.

Reliable sources (Wikipedia?) say that Ohio plates were green on white in 1985 - 1991.

Oh, and the axles are shot.

There is a vent there, it's to the right center of the rear roof cap. This beauty is located near North Myrtle beach if anybody is interested. It was on craigslist with just an address. No phone numbers. They wouldn't reply to emails, so I took off to go see what it was.

Has to be from Ohio. There were only 81 Ambassadors made in their inaugural year, all in Ohio.

But are easily rebuilt with new bushings and shocks... No "dyna torque your wallets" in that year.
Lance also made an excellent observation about the vent stack.

This is an interesting find

1962 AIRSTREAM TRAVEL TR

Here is what pops up when the address is googled.

I have a friend that lives near Conway. Maybe I should send him to have a look.
