Pondering black holes

Today's science prize goes to the person that can explain the reason for these black holes, one immediately above the street side kitchen outlet and the other on the left side of the gaucho.

For the hole above the gaucho to the left of the window, I vote for an antenna rotator.

In a 52-year-old trailer, they could be for almost anything IMO. Are you in touch with the previous owner? Are there any cover plates etc. on the exterior close to these 2 holes? Are they the same exact diameter, and does it look like they were drilled out?

Is there any evidence elsewhere of Audio-visual equipment which might have been removed, including roof antennas?

Thanks,

Peter

My guess: a location for a telephone outlet. To the right of the stove for a wall phone. Behind the sofa for a desktop phone.
Pre-cell phone, some of the old trailers came with telephone blocks/junction boxes to connect to the campground's phone system.

Or, a peep hole for mice to watch you :-)

I was curious, so I looked at manuals for 1966 Tradewind. Nothing there.

Then I looked at photos. I found a photo that shows that exact same grommet over the stove. This means it was factory installed. Scroll through the photos >

Good call. The hole in the interior wall lines up with the one where a tv antennae appears to have been mounted on the exterior.

The one in the kitchen remains a mystery. The phone idea sounds logical, but there are no mounting holes for screws nearby that would secure the phone to the wall.

Pondering black holes

Not all rotary phones in those days could be mounted on the wall

Oops, just gave away my age...
