Need help locating fuse box

I am trying to locate the fuse box for my 1963 Tradewind 24 ft. I seem to have blown a fuse. I lost electrical power to the midsection of my trailer that runs my refrigerator my AC overhead lights over the kitchen sink and bedroom area. Lights are still working in the front end of the trailer and in the bathroom in the back area of the trailer. Any ideas where the fuse box might be?

In my 73 Argosy that would be one of the two 110 breakers that are located in the bathroom closet.

After reading your post again you may have also blown a DC fuse which should be located in a compartment on the front of your univolt. Should be a panel that folds down on the front of the univolt box.

This may be a dumb question but what is a univolt?

If you find where your shore power is on the exterior on the trailer it should give you a good idea of where to look on the interior of the trailer. Generally the 110 breakers and univolt aren't far from where the shore power come in from. Hope this helps.

Univolt or charge controller/convertor. It is what takes the 110 power and turns it to DC power to charge your batteries and run the DC portion of your trailer. Your lights, furnace, water pump, and fans all run on DC power like a car, your fridge, ac, tvs, microwave all run on ac power like your home.

I just discovered the real problem as to why I lost shore power to The midsection of my trailer

Airstream service department here in Austin basically said the park here must have lost power which is what fried my electrical plug and cord. 😔
I need to replace both. The service department is backlogged two weeks. Ouch!

Good luck with the repair. However I don't see how having the park loose power would result in this type of damage. Likely it was a short in the plug or socket.

Concur; or possible loose 'spades' causing overheat.

Look after your equipment, it will look after you.

I was able to get an independent RV tech out that Airstream recommended. The wiring coming from the breaker box was 12 gauge which according to the tech should not be used for more than 20 AMPS . My trailer is 30 AMPS. He said it was only a matter of time before the 12 gauge would overload and heat up. And that's what happened. So he is re-wiring to carry 30 AMPS. It apparently has been running this way for years. The previous owners were apparently lucky according to the RV tech.

Glad to hear you are getting everything back together and really glad the damage was as light as it was. That one could have turned out much worse. You might consider asking the rv tech to look over the rest of your systems while he is there. Stay with him while he is looking things over and ask questions on anything you may not be sure of.

When I mentioned to the RV text that I was glad it didn't start a fire and that it could've been much worse his comment was " aluminum doesn't burn very well so it probably wouldn't of started a fire" .

He did look over my other systems and said all is well.
