Name that Airstream (picture)

this is a screen capture of the airstream in the movie "the astronaut farmer"

Looks like a 1965-1968 Overlander.

My guess is a 65 or so 28 Ambassador.

I would say it is a 63 or 64 because it has flat windows. Ambassador, 29 ft. given the double windows over the bed. Rear tire mount is not standard. Can not see the number od segments on the front dome. That is what really makes the 64 different from th 63.

If you are correct, my guess was a foot short and a year too old....the story of my life.

My guess is a 62 Ambassador, it seems to have the more promenant window eves. of pre 64 trailers.

Plus it has the door-in-a-door feasture although you can't see that in this picture. Makes it a '64 or older model. I say its an Ambassador.

Given the window design and water heater placement - my guess is a 1963 Sovereign - 30'.

I would say that you probably got it right....1963 30' Sovereign. If it has 7 panel end caps then it is a 1963, if it has 5 panel end caps then it is a 1964 or 1965.
