Just got a 1967 Tradewind!

Some of you probably recognize me as the guy that has been 'working' on a 1963 Silver Streak. Came across this deal and could not pass it by. My wife is not too happy with two silver trailers in the yard , neither of which are in usable shape at this time. I will be selling the SS (cheap) and working at getting the AS in shape. So happy! Be ready for the steady stream of questions!

Congratulations on your acquisition! Give us the details of the find! Craigslist? Local ad?

What is it with people trying to "enhance" the rear bumper area on these vintage trailers? My Globetrotter has square tubing welded to the rear frame, just forward of the bumper. Surprising there were no hooks, bolts or other attachment features on this rack to haul anything. Looks like you might have an improvised bike mount and some sort of makeshift spare tire mount on the back of yours????

Keep us posted on your progress & enjoy!

My find

Toddster,

I found it locally and yes looks like there has been some 'stuff' done to the back bumper. I'm sure it will be history. Can't do much of anything on this one until I unload the other trailer though, orders from the CFO.

Hey Silverhoot, That looks great. Congratulations!

I'd love to hear about how great a deal you got, that it would make you risk your happy home life on it.

I've seen that same kind of bike rack before. The axle was supported by the vertical bar, and the wheels sat in the curved sections

Good find,
Rich

Some more pics

The guy that had it was in the midst of 'renovating' it. He made all new cabinet doors that are piled up and replaced a few floor sections, also started on an eating booth up front. I'm kind of picky so will be probably redo most of what he's done so that I know it's OK. I've already been informed that I probably need new axles. Soon as I resize the pics I'll post some up. Now I've either got to find somebody that will buy the SS in it's deconstructed state or work on it ( when I really want to work on the AS) to be able to sale it. Conundrum.
