As many of you know, I've been compiling info on '59 and '60 TradeWind's for several years now. Currently there are 51 in this registry and finally today I've run across sequential numbers. Forums members "rschulz" and "richard77" have numbers 24D-0129 and 24D-0130 respectively. My friend Steve "59TW0132" has number 24D-0132 so there's another one "right around the corner". Of the 51 total on the registry, 25 are California built and 20 are Ohio. I don't have the serial numbers on the remaining 8. "markdoane" if you could get the serial number from your friend Tucker, I would greatly appreciate it.
I find this very interesting and enjoy collecting this data. If you or someone you know has a '59 or '60 TradeWind, please let me know.

Yup, both from the same factory. I've been in rschulz's trailer and Steve's trailer and they were very close to the same set up although Steve's was nothing close to original when I saw it.
You're right, very cool.

Since its been awhile since posting, I thought I would post all of the serial number on the registry to try and spark some interest in those who's serial numbers I am missing.
There are 45 other '59 and/or '60 TradeWind's that I do not know the serial number. This brings the total to 126 listed on the registry with just about the same number made at each factory, not counting the ones where I'm missing serial numbers. I expect the numbers would still reflect the same balance between factories though. Not many International models though, which surprises me because I would have thought a 24 foot size would be great for the long caravans. It also seems odd to me that the Ohio plant starts with number 7 but the California plant is 114. I have heard that a few CA trailers were special order for government use so maybe this is where the earlier CA serial numbers were utilized.
If you can add any info to the registry, please contact me via a PM.
Thank you for your continued support.

Thank you for your Tradewind registry-you are starting to accumulate alot of numbers!! It was also cool to go under the airforums registry tab and under advanced search type in Tradewind...it was great to see everyone's photos!
Yes Frank, I have yours listed and thanks for the pictures. Thanks also Greg and kittrik. You're now both listed as well. Keep those serial numbers coming.

hi there, i,ve just brought ohio 249021, she is a bare shell with no floor and is a workshop in england awaiting conversion to euro spec axle hitch and lights, and then a full top spec hand built bespoke interior by me. will post some photo's when i pick her up at the end of august. cheers. dan.
Another '59 rescued! Good luck and congratulations.
If it stays in Cornwall, I humbly suggest you work Arthur Pendragon's coat-of-arms into the design somehow. Merlin's Magic Caravan... or you can be the first Knight of the Round Trailer!
Thanks makerothings. I have that TradeWind listed to a fellow in S. Carolina. Looks like she made a trip overseas and is now in your capable hands. Post some pictures when you can as I would love to follow along with your progress.

Listed in my Early TradeWind Registry are numbers 24DSS-0470 (6/60), 24DSS-0478 (6/60), 24DSS-0529 (10/60) and 24TSS-0547 (11/60). I have been told by a very reliable source that the new model year began in July for the upcoming year. The AS factory didn't keep records of how many were made or at what number the new model years were produced. Sorry, this doesn't answer your question but I thought you may find it interesting.

Congratulations!!! Looks like a fine early TradeWind and as a hunting shack, they appear to have treated her well. I've added your info to the registry. Thanks for posting. Any more pictures you can share with us?

Here are some senic outdoor shots. I current have the unit at my work so i'm able to pull it inside on weekends to work on. The trailer officialy known as Murphy has a couple of problems, all correctable with large quantities of time, blood and ........ money.

Hi Dan ~
It's getting to be the end of August so where are those pictures you referred to? I hope you are able to get this early TradeWind.
