Yes, Fred explained it exactly. This is an LPG only refer. I didn't have enough digital memory with me today or I would have gotten a detail of the "eyebrow" roof vent and more. I can stick my head in the curbside Dometic access door and look straight up to the interior of the TW. If you look at the pic "Dometic counter space" at the metalwork where the antenna cables are, that space is totally open to the refer burner and coil below.
Regarding the Airstream baby moons, Jason purchased those along with new "AIRSTREAM" plaquards for the front and rear. He never got around to installing them. I have them and the lettering is a slightly different font than those already on the trailer. We are staying in touch, so I'll ask and let your know. I'll ask about the ceiling fixture as well. Those SNs really are facinating! I was thinking maybe CA used odd and OH even numbers, but no . . . so there HAS to be at least one sequential set from the same factory. Brad, thanks for sharing. Henry, I'll keep you posted on GA resources.
I’ve just added a few more pics to 1960 Tradewind - As Found for those who would like them. These are of the original drop-leaf table details (to bad my gaucho doesn’t open out as easily as the table). . .
I think it is interesting that our tables are identical, except that mine has piano hinges and your has regular hinges.
Here's the manufacturer's label also.
Did your table come with a set of chairs? I don't know if these were a set, or came separately.
My 60 trdwnd has that exact table ,no chairs and there wouldn't be any place to put them .The front gaucho limits the room .It is so cool that
sugarfoots is so much the same ,do you have 3 windows above the
center on the streetside ,all identicle in size and spacing going in a row
from front to rear ?Mine also has the reefer style venting ,but a 2 way
dometic in it now ,there when we bought it.I have had no heating or venting
problems with it .It doesn't have alot of hot air coming up that opening
at the back of the fridge behind the little shelf type thing ,keeping things from falling behind the fridge,.It has that low curved vent on the curbside roof above the fridge and there is a vent behind the fridge that directs air up to the roof vent.
I noticed that the ohio trailers serial numbers have the bed designation letter
at the end of the number ,the ca trailers have it right after the length ,the
third character in the number.
Hi ya'll, I'm sorry I didn't have pics ready to post when I first started this thread, but now you can check this Yahoo Photos link. There are 95 pics of all the ins and outs of this Tradewind, so be patient with upload and some may be redundant. I haven't had a chance to label them yet, but will get to it ASAP. When posting these I also remembered that the side marker lights are replacements by the PO but the Bargman brake lights were not. They look in too good a shape to me, so I wonder if they were replaced by an earlier PO. Anyway, check it out. If the link doesn't work, let me know (I have no doubt that you will!) http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rapunzel6666/album?.dir=/2d9ere2&.src=ph&.tok=phjwsPFBiJ3cavFD.
Scott, I had viewed yours and Lily's photos with envy even before I found my AS. You have a beautiful trailer and furnished so nicely! I noticed the vintage kitchen right off. Mine is a twin floor plan with shower pan, no tub. And a front gaucho, but I'm not sure it pulls out. Did all the Tradewinds convert to a double in front? I tried, but didn't want to force anything since the left side moved but the right side was stuck.
Brad, I've read many of your posts as well. My SN is 240310T, not with International options however. Wet bath in rear with closet on right, twins in the middle, galley streetside, and gaucho in front. Number 46 on the registry, how appropriate for a 46 year old trailer!
It's nice to meet ya'll, and by the way, my name is Dacia.
Dacia, I am also new to this forum. I'm still looking for my first AS. You have found yourself a beauty. David
My wife and I had one of those tables inherited from her grandmother who used it in her kitchen (mid 50's till she died in the mid 80's). I had no idea it was a standard in the Airstream community. It last saw service as a saw horse / outside work table.
In rereading this thread, I see I forgot to comment on your question about Toby's and your serial numbers. You had asked because your two trailers were identical. His serial number is 24-0-216D and yours is ways down the line at 24-0-291D. Thought you might find this interesting.
Thanks Brad ,
yeah thats a ways away there,so that is very interesting .I wonder then if the airstream factory had some catologs of options or models you could just order it non special .Tobys had all the same colors ,fabrics ,bath layout ,windows ,so its is unusual that that would happen unless they
did have a standard of sorts for models to purchase.I really like this thread!
When did you hook up with Toby to see his trailer? I've been waiting on pictures from him for over a year. Guess now I won't need to see them if everything looks just like yours.

Scott:
The factories built standard feature trailers that dealers could buy for floor stock. Options were also available on order. A California 1960 trailer options list dated 12/59 is available for download from the VAC web site:
It will be nearly identical to the Ohio 1960s trailer option list, and both are pretty close to the 1959 option list. It's well worth a look to see what was available from the factory back then. Enjoy!

Now that shows very informative info.Clearly mine is a landyacht .the
international states a 32 gallon water system ,not on mine or sugarfoots.
The differences are stated pretty clearly ,so with that info it should not be
hard to tell which trailer model you have ,globes or not .Very enjoyable!!
Brad I looked at tobys blog at least a year ago on his site .It had exterior pics and many interior photos ,so I saw the bath ,double bed ,the headboard
and the fabric used ,same kitchen ,gaucho .the exterior had the same window arraingements and all ,the folding doors ,tub and sink colors ,that coral
kinda pink like sugarfoots sink.I did not see that table I have .I really wish
he would update that site ,as I would like to see how the plymouth flathead
hotrod 6 and car look like and the trailer polishing. It seems to be frozen in
time ,so Anyone know him ? Tell him give us updates !! photos !!
After another look on Freds info page ,I have the dual 110 12volt fixtures
the multiple outlets ,I have the original spare tire holder ,taken off ,in the garage. I also have the ogden water purifier installed .Looks like I have
available optional items .My furnace has no thermostat on th wall ,but a
1-9 dial on the control unit and the blower option that blows hot air thru
a aluminum tunnel from the furnace to the rear bath for warmth ,which
is really neat ,and it works. So the base models and landyachts could have
many more options you could order ,of course confusing the issue more .
But Im going to go back and check out some more ,again thanks Fred!!
Hey ya’ll and thanks for all the congrats, etc. Mark, I wonder why we have different hinges on our tables. Maybe the one of the originals on yours pulled out of the particle board and someone decided to replace all of them with piano hinges, which I think would be better anyway. I’ve noticed a wood glue repair under one hinge of from where this happened. Or maybe that was how it came from the factory. I do find it interesting that Scott, whose is also an OH TW (I think, correct me if I’m wrong) has this table. Would there be hinge differences depending if it’s a CA or OH trailer or was this maybe an OH only option? I’m swatting at minutia now but I find it fascinating. As for chairs, I have none. I’ve read somewhere on this forum that an assortment of similar chairs were sold separately at the Airstream stores as go-alongs. Henry, can you go dumpster diving and retrieve your table . . . .that sucks!
Keep looking RealtyQuest . . . . when the right one comes along you will know it and it will speak to you too. This forum was and is extremely helpful for me as I’m sure it is for you. Good luck!
By the way, I’ve emailed Jason about the “Airstream” baby moons. I’ll let ya’ll know when I hear from him.
Now, I’m off to Fred’s VAC link to check out those options. Dacia

Now my lovely wife tells me I replaced the hinges several years ago after the table took a bad fall.
I think your's is the original, mine is a 'repair'.
A word of caution. Always lay the table down before you hitch up.
