'65-'68 Tradewind dimensions

hi

I am looking to import an airstream from the US to the UK. I have narrowed down my search for a suitable model to the 65-68 Tradewind because they have twin axles (less nose weight, easier to tow, fix blow outs ect) and they are narrower than post 1968 models (7 feet 6.5 inches is the legal limit to tow in the uk). However i need to know the exact length of the body of the tradewind externally and the length of the draw bar separately (22 feet 11.5 inches is the max allowed for the body + the draw bar) if someone could measure their tradewind and give me the dimensions that would be very much appreciated.

thanks

Just to clarify, you need the absolute length from the tip of the hitch ball to the rear bumper, is that correct.

I just went out and measured. Raining here in Mississippi. My 68 TW is 25ft. long ( give or take an inch). That is from the back edge of the rear bumper to the very front edge of the hitch. Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for that, sorry you got wet, i needed the overall dimension to know whether it will fit in my workshop but the law on maximum length towable actually refers to the length of the aluminium body of the trailer itself i.e. not the coupling, drawbar (a-frame) or rear bumper if you could get that for me that would be great.

thanks again

where in Mississippi are you?

21 ft, 5 inches That is the length of the actual aluminum tailer.
Hope this helps
