I do have you listed. Your serial number is 24D-0158 and it is a CA made TradeWind that came off the assembly line in December of 1958. It has a double bed and a booth in the front. Sound about right?

flyfshr, i just went through your pics and must say that is a beautiful trailer. Since you seem to be the man with the knowledge, i have a question about some of the differences between your trailer and mine. I know that we have to different layouts, but why do i have windows to the right of my door and you dont?
everything else (excepts beds) looks very similar.
but the windows were the big difference i noticed.

thanks
mike

Hmmmm. . .

I notice Brad's Tradewind also only has one window in the kitchen, where I have two. Is that a California/Ohio thing?

I have a couple of ideas on the windows to the right side of the entry door. In most cases, these windows indicate a couch instead of a booth and the door is about 12 to 14 inches further back towards the wheel well to allow for the windows aft of the end cap. Usually that indicates there isn't a wardrobe on the curbside, just on the streetside. As for the two galley windows, that appears to be an Ohio thing. They must have had extra windows to use up.

Now its my time for a window question. All you '59 and '60 TradeWind owners out there have all the exact same size windows throughout the trailer like I do? Mine are 1940 1009 Hehr windows, making them a 19 x 40 inch opening in the shell.

Brad -
My (Ohio built) '59 has a medley of window sizes.
Front window: 1009 2142
2 stacked windows curbside forward of door: 1009 1981 (measuring 19" tall x 18" wide each, yet labelled 1981 and not 1918)
2 bedroom windows, 1 curbside & 1 streetside: 1009 1930
Kitchen & streetside front: 1009 1930
Rear: 1009 2140
I'm curious to know whether these are the sizes on all '59 Ohio Tradewinds, or if the variability resulted from a custom order.

Mike, mine is similar to yours except that my kitchen and streetside front are 19x40s. I dont have a vent over the stove, maybe there wasn't room with the extra 20 inches of window.

Oh, and the windows right of the door are correctly labeled as 1918. Maybe the window maker was dyxleic when he marked yours.

Total window area is 35 square feet.
Less aluminum to polish.

I know that all my windows are NOT the same. I am going out to arizona this weekend to visit my mom and will try and remember to take a lot of pics and i will measure the windows. but just looking at the pic i do have on here the windows in the kitchen are two different sizes.
Also, being that i have the double bed model, i have two wardrobe closets curbside and the window between them is definitely smaller then the others.
My guess just by looking at the pics is that i have two or three different sizes throughout the trailer.

You won't need to measure the windows. The size and style are stamped into the mounted window frame in the middle on the lower frame. It should something like:

HEHR 1009 1940
