59 Tradewind Dump valve

Can anyone tell me what kind of waste valve was standard on the 59 TW? I have heard everyone talk of Thetford valves and have looked them up on line, but they bear no resemblance to mine. It is all black and has a slide from the rear bumper. I only have a black water tank, so the gray drain out after the valve. Hence, I suppose the answer is a porto-tote. I have a 5 gal tank that will use for now.

Anyway, after messing with the valve today, I find that it won't close completely. If I knew the brand, maybe I could repair it. Any ideas? If need be, I can post pics. We seem to like pics on here alot.

If it is all black, it is probably a Valterra slide valve and a replacement for the original 2" brass gate valve.

Stick with Valterra. They are cheap and you can find them everywhere.

If it's brass, I would still replace it with a Valterra Valve because the original valves are hard to repair.

See pictures in my photo album of the original valve.
