Since we purchased our Tradewind last fall, there has been some discrepancy about the year and vin #. The paperwork and tag on the unit did not match. Paperwork said it was a 69, however we got confirmation from the guru himself, Brad Norgaard (our friend from airforums.com) and she is indeed a 59. With Brad's help, we managed to convince the Ministry of Transport here in Ontario that there had been a 'typo' at some point during the years, and now the paperwork matches the trailer and we're all set to get on the road ! ! Finally, after many hours of labour and sweat, we're ready.
We've had her polished (twice) and are quite happy to tow her down the road. Here's a couple of before and after pics. I'll get some shots of the inside this weekend and post next week.

Wow that's a beautiful trailer, enjoy the heck out of it!
So glad this worked out for you and am honored to be considered the early TradeWind guru, I'm blushing. Looking forward to following your travels through info and pictures. Now the real fun begins.
Well, finally got around to posting the pics of the inside.... After kicking the critters out: lots of cleaning, new floor, gaucho couch completely re-done, plumbing, wiring, etc. etc....... We love it....

Wow!!! Looks great, enjoy it. I would like to know what you used to polish it.

Thanks for all the nice compliments on our little beauty. Not sure exactly what was used to polish her up.... we had a detailing place get all the oxidation off first, then another friend with another detailing shop saw it and was very excited to get at it with his special touch. We got her back when she looked like you saw her... beautiful. Not perfect, but still beautiful... after all, she is going to be 50 in 2009, and as we all know, we all have little blemishes and such after all those years!!
We've taken our first voyage, and are now planning our second one. We're leaving this Sunday for Bethel, NY to go to the newly opened Woodstock Museum. Should be a great trip with the fall colours, and just a nice leisurely ride through Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, then back along US 20 through New York, back to Ontario. Plan to be gone about 2 weeks.
Thanks again to everyone here for helping to get us rolling with all the wonderful advice and lessons learned here.

Hey Gypsygirl and Hubby! Your tradewind looks GREAT! I have a strong chance of purchasing the same as yours in about 2 weeks. The inside is in great shape, the outside is in great shape, it's just been sitting since 1985 so the underneath...Not so good shape! But I'm looking foward to the challange! I also have an oppertunity to purchase an 18' from the same people! Can't wait to post pictures and to get LOTS of advice!
Talk to you soon! Jewelcofsc
Thanks ! ! We took her on the 'voyage' to Bethel NY and it was an awesome trip. No problems with the rig or trailer. Only our second trip and we had a fantastic time. Good luck with your new purchase, and have fun getting it ready to roll.......
