I'm about to seal the deal on this awesome 1969 Land Yacht for importation to Melbourne, Australia. I just wonder if anyone has any info on the all round jalousie windows? I've never seen them like this before and would love to know if its rare? An optional upgrade etc?
Many thanks,
Amy - Excited Aussie Airstreamer!
Hi,
My name is Bob and I recently imported a '58 Traveler to Melbourne Go for it dont worry about the windows it looks to have a pretty good body.
Any chance we can keep in touch as I have a '54 Safari awaiting shipment.
If you need some advice on restoration I am happy to help and have all the gear required. Good luck with your import.
Hi Bob! Great to hear from you!! Am definitely not worried, just wondered if there was a story behind them. Would love to keep in touch with you and talk Airstreams!! Did you know there is an Airstream rally coming up in June or July in Sydney? If you search for Australian Airstream Club on Facebook you should find the details. Where is your trailer coming from? Mine is in Seattle, just getting quotes on shipping - container vs roro. Which way did you go?Amy

The 1969 was a transition year. It is very hard to find the replacement windows. I have never seen a 69 with jalousie windows, by the way.
