Steve
It is great to hear from you. Glad to know you are in a beautiful place to spend the summer. You are very close (as a crow flies) to my uncle in Everett. Wish we could pop up there to see the view. Your photos are very inviting. Alas with gas at $4. here in NC. I do not think that 2783 miles are in the budget for this year. I hope you are able to do a few small projects on your trailer and spend some time assisting folks who are visiting the campground. We will look forward to future updates. You have been an inspiration to many of us. May our thoughts and prayers continue to support you.
Peace

Looks like a beautiful place, Steve! I hope your summer is peaceful and healing, and full of new friends.

We've been wanting to do more camping in Washington; now we know of a great place to go. It would be nice to meet you, and Brissy!

sound like s good plan

Hi Steve

thanks for the update and photos. This looks like a good place to be for awhile.
Love the lil' anchor. I think we may need one for our land yacht. Espesially with all the coastal camping we do.

till then

Steve - we are heading to Fort Worden latter part of May, if we get the resealing done. Will let you know if we do. There should be a couple of us at least, just in the planning stage at the moment. Fort Worden is a spousal favorite.

Steve I have been reading this thread for a couple of weeks now and have enjoyed it immensly. I too am a care giver for my 24 year old son who has Down Syndrome. I know how it is sometimes. If you are having trouble finding some support services PM me. My wife is very knowledgable about what is available. Anyway keep going on your quest to finish your AS. I know it's a labor of love.

I am coming up there after my first summer session. Will you be up there for the whole summer? I am so there. I stayed on Orcas island and it was lovely. The ferry ride was so cool, I would love to do it with my trailer. Will work out the mileage and start collecting aluminum cans for gas money!!!! Who is with me???
Smiles,
Pink

Let me know your dates, Pink. We could probably raise a whole lot of hell caravanning together...

Steve

The location you have chosen to settle in for a while looks quite peaceful. I wish you all the best.

What a great site Steve! You're going to love the area... I've done the Bike MS ride around the area... pretty... but you don't notice the hills until you're actually biking UP them!

Enjoy the sun today!

Hi Steve,

I've been thinking about you and your new adventure as we are slowly moving along doing the work on our trailer.

Do you have a few stories to tell yet about being host? I'm sure as the season gets busier, it will get more entertaining along with the new folks who come camping.

I hope you and Brissy have a summer full of new friends and each day brings healing.

Tina

Thanks, Tina!

Pretty quiet in our new home so far. Fairly busy on the weekends and hardly anything on the weekdays, but that's just fine. A few local restoration folks have found us, including a '56 Bubble that was used as a Civil Defense trailer, so I'll hopefully get to see some projects. Most of the SOB lookers notice all the windows and then can't believe she is 55 years old.

Pulling back to our old home next week to send Pam's cremains to the sea that she loved. Weather forecast looks good for what will probably be a bit of an emotional week.

And then I need to get back to polishing.

Cheers,
steve
