Katie,
I would be happy to hear some over your 'Streaming adventures and see some pictures if that helps. Sometimes sharing is the best recovery. But I'm delighted to hear the second option (insurance) will cover most of it.

Better Days are Ahead

Katie and Ryan:
We have been following and commiserating with you for weeks. Since we first learned of your loss, we have kept our "eyes peeled" hoping to find your AS. (As remote as that might sound...we are a long way from Seattle). I hope things turn out well for you and still wish that one, you could get your trailer back, unharmed and that two, the cops will catch the banditos who stole your AS. Best Wishes.

Hi all, I'm over in Montana but will keep my eyes open in this neck of the woods. Nothing catches your eye like an AS when you're aware of them. Maybe the creeps who stole this one will feel safe in a few more months and with the warmer weather coming...

There is a picture of a bambi in a scrap yard in Pueblo, CO in the forum. Evidently it has some issue with the title because it must sold as scrap. It doesn't look as nice as yours, but you never know.

We saw that thread. The pictures definitely gave us pause but it is not our trailer.

In better news, we are going to be picking up a '59 Flying Cloud this weekend. Ryan spoke to the current owners last night, and we agreed on a price. Looks like we're headed into another total restoration project...

We'll start a blog up once we've got the new rig. We're hoping to document the work and want to share it with anyone that's interested.

Keep your eyes peeled for the 18 footer... We're still looking too!

Congrats on the new find, a "59" FC way to go !! You know that we ALL will want to see pics from the first day you bring your new baby home, and then some more. Hope the new FC puts a BIG smile on your face!

We have a ton of photos from when we looked at the trailer... We'll wait to post anything, though, until we actually have the beast. I don't want to jinx the purchase!

It's got a double on the curb side corner, with a couch and table in the front. We'll be converting the front end to have a big J-shaped dinette during the restoration. It has almost all original appliances: the refer was replaced a long while back.

It's a big wet mess currently, so we've got our work cut out for us!

From one Flying Cloud owner to potential others, I hope it works out for you. We find the size is just perfect for our needs and they are just fun to tow and for their size relatively light.

Good luck with your pursuit and we'll watch for pictures when you get it home.

I think you will find it difficult to find the polka dot seat covers originally used. In fact, I might be afraid of them. They are almost scary without a few beers first.

Congratulations on your new and hopefully unjinxed purchase.

That is a really nice looking 18 footer. Not ours, but it is the closest one I've seen. Thanks for keeping up the search. We're still searching the listings with hopes of bringing her home (you'll notice to the left, we're 'Currently Looking...')

Ryan.

Maybe ours will show up one of these days!
